The Usera team concluded their final home game in the Second Division with a goalless draw against Navalcarnero. A result that doesn't change anything in the standings, but it served as an opportunity for the Román Valero stadium to pay tribute to a group that has given their all in every match.
USERA, MADRID – There was sadness in the air, but also gratitude. The Román Valero stadium hosted what was probably Colonia Moscardó's last match in the Second Division this Sunday, at least for this season, and the Usera stadium responded as always: with passion, with encouragement, and with the unmistakable pride of a neighborhood that loves its team through thick and thin.
A match without pressure, but with a lot of meaning
Relegation is already a certainty, and today's result wasn't going to change anything in the standings. But the players took to the pitch at the Román Valero stadium with their usual commitment, because this group has never thrown in the towel or stopped competing, even when the numbers weren't in their favor. Navalcarnero, tenth in the table and with nothing left to play for, didn't put in much effort either, and the match unfolded calmly, without any major excitement in either penalty area.
Román Valero, faithful to the end
The best part of the afternoon wasn't the scoreboard. It was in the stands. The Moscardó fans, who have endured a very demanding season from day one, responded with a presence and affection that speaks volumes about what this club means to Usera. This neighborhood and this team are inseparable, and no result or league can change that.
It's time to reflect, not to give up
Relegation hurts, and it would be dishonest to deny it. A season in the Second Federation, full of difficulties, ends with a return to the lower division. But Moscardó has shown this season that it can compete, that it has the players, the structure, and a fanbase that deserves the best. It's time to take an honest look back, strengthen where necessary, and come back stronger.
Usera won't be relegated. Neither will Moscardó. 💚
Thank you to all the players, coaching staff, and fans for this season! We'll see you next season with more enthusiasm than ever!
