CDC Moscardó 2 - CD Coria 1 | THIS IS THE MOSCA! An epic win with ten men against Coria to keep the dream alive

The Román Valero was once again an impregnable fortress. On an afternoon of grit, courage and plenty of football, our Colonia Moscardó beat CD Coria (2-1) thanks to a last-gasp goal from Ablaye Sy when things looked most difficult.

USERA – Some wins are worth more than three points, and Saturday's was one of them. Our team showed that even when we are knocked down, even when we are a man down and even when the opponent pushes, Moscardó can never be written off. In a head-to-head battle against one of the "big guns" of the division, Usera's faith overcame the Extremadura side's favouritism.

We struck first through Diego

From the first whistle our players came out biting. It did not matter that Coria arrived eyeing the promotion places; here we are in charge. That intensity was rewarded in the 16th minute, when Diego Martínez pounced on a ball in the box and sent it into the back of the net. The 1-0 was a fair reflection of the start and put the game where we wanted it. The team looked solid, supportive in cover and sharp on the counter.

Suffering and grit in adversity

After the break Coria gritted their teeth. In the 61st minute Juanjo Chavalés equalised (1-1) from an isolated move that forced us to start all over again. Things got even tougher in the 74th minute when the referee showed a second yellow to Ihab.

We were down to ten, with a quarter of an hour left and facing an opponent throwing everything forward. But that is where Moscardó's DNA came through. Instead of sitting back, the team multiplied its efforts. Every run by our players was cheered on by a crowd that never stopped believing for a second.

Ablaye Sy sends us into delirium

When a draw seemed to be the final destination, fate had a reward in store for so much effort. In the 88th minute, with hearts racing, Ablaye Sy became the hero. Pouncing on a loose ball after a gritty play, he beat the visiting goalkeeper for the final 2-1. The explosion of joy at the Román Valero will be remembered for a long time.

Usera never gives up

With this win we show that this team has soul and that we are ready to fight anyone in this Group 5. Coria left empty-handed from a stadium that pushed as it does on the big occasions.

This win belongs to the players, the coaching staff and, above all, you, the fans. We keep adding points, we keep growing!
