Real Madrid C 1-0 CDC Moscardó / HEADS HELD HIGH IN DEFEAT AT VALDEBEBAS: A second-half goal settles it for Moscardó at the Ciudad Deportiva

A D. Lacosta goal in the 54th minute was enough for Real Madrid C to take the three points against a Moscardó side that stood up to them but did not get the reward they deserved.

VALDEBEBAS, MADRID – Moscardó left Real Madrid's Ciudad Deportiva empty-handed, but with their heads held high. The Usera side travelled to one of the toughest grounds in the division ready to compete, and for much of the match they did. However, a goal at the start of the second half was enough for the white reserve side to take the three points, leaving Moscardó with the bitterness of not taking anything from a match that could well have ended differently.

A hard-fought first half

The first forty-five minutes were evenly matched. Moscardó took to the pitch with clear ideas: organisation at the back, intensity in midfield and no fear of an opponent who, despite the crest on their chest, came into this 32nd matchday in eleventh place, with us four places below. The match was very even, with few clear chances for either side and our players never in serious trouble. Half-time arrived at 0-0 with the feeling that the game was alive and open to any result.

Lacosta appears and breaks the deadlock

In the 54th minute, with the match entering its most decisive phase, D. Lacosta found the net to make it 1-0 to Real Madrid C. A hard blow to take, because our players had been very good throughout the first half and the game did not deserve to be decided that way. After the goal the white reserve side settled into the match and Moscardó had to open up in search of an equaliser, which gave the opponent more space.

A fight to the end, but no reward

Our players tried. They did not hide, did not take their foot off the gas and went looking for the goal that would have earned them at least a point. But luck was not on their side at Valdebebas and the 1-0 held until the final whistle. A defeat that hurts, but does not overshadow the effort and commitment of a group that keeps competing with the pride of this crest.

On to the next one

There are matchdays still ahead and Moscardó have a chance for revenge. Time to recharge, keep working and be once again the team that has given so much joy this season. The Román Valero awaits and the Usera neighbourhood is behind us!

Thank you to those who travelled to Valdebebas! You are part of this crest.
