San Sebastián de los Reyes 2-1 CDC Moscardó / A HAMMER BLOW AT MATAPIÑONERA: Moscardó fall to Sanse's firepower

A Mauro Bravo goal in the 87th minute narrowed the gap and gave us hope of a point, but Ruiz's second for the hosts (78') proved too heavy a burden for our Colonia Moscardó.

SAN SEBASTIÁN DE LOS REYES – It was not to be. On a hard-working afternoon in the north of Madrid, Colonia Moscardó left empty-handed after a high-intensity battle in which UD San Sebastián de los Reyes' efficiency ended up tipping the balance in their favour. The Usera side never gave up, but the home goals at key moments decided the match.

Silva Teles opened the scoring early

The match began with a very incisive Sanse who were quick to find the target. In the 16th minute Silva Teles V. made it 1-0, taking advantage of one of the maroon side's first clear attacks. From then on Moscardó tried to settle, gain ground and contest possession with an opponent who were comfortable with their narrow half-time lead.

Ruiz's blow and Mauro Bravo's reply

In the second half the Usera side stepped up in search of the equaliser that would put us right back in the game. However, as the match entered its decisive phase, the second bucket of cold water arrived: in the 78th minute Ruiz F. scored 2-0 for Sanse, a gap that seemed final.

But if this crest has one thing, it is pride. Far from giving up, Moscardó threw everything at the opposition box and in the 87th minute Mauro Bravo pounced on a ball to make it 2-1 and set nerves jangling in the home stands. The final minutes were a constant siege by our players in search of an epic finish, but the score would not change again.

Team pride

We return to Usera angry about the defeat, but with our heads held high for having competed until the 90th minute at one of the toughest grounds in the division. This team has soul and will not stop fighting for every point.

Thank you to the brave fans who travelled to cheer us on! We will bounce back next Sunday at home!
